I want to restart the blog. There seems to be a huge up stirring of fanboyism lately with the new PS4, and the Xbox1 coming out in a few months. (And for some reason, people still ignore the Wii U)
First off, if your a "real gamer," which is someone who appreciates games for what they are, and not how popular the franchise is, or what console the game is made for, or anything like that, feel free to add to the blog.
The term "Hardcore Gamer" has been thrown around for years now. It was even around when I was a kid. But now it's taken on a new meaning. And it's pretty sad. Now to be a "hardcore gamer" you just have to own one of the popular gaming systems, and only buy the popular games for that system. While ignoring, or even worse, basing everything else. Even when you haven't tried anything else.
I can go on a huge rant about how people claim to be hardcore gamers, who are either just fanboys, idiots who only want to buy what's popular (just look at anyone sitting in line every year when a new Apple product is released, and the fact is there is no difference from the product they released the year before.) or just little kids who are only able to play one game and one system, because their parent's won't buy them more than one gaming system.
I don't claim to be a Hardcore gamer. But I do play lots of games. different genre's that I aren't even my type of game. But At least I keep my options open. I don't discriminate with games. I will play all the games I can on my PC, 360, PS3, Wii U (although it broke down and has to be shipped out for repairs) soon my PS4, and my XB1. And even on tablets (my daughter broke the last one we had, so we need to get a new one, in the mean time, she gets to play on her Uncles Ipad) or cell phones. Games are Games. Don't limit yourself to what games you play, otherwise you're just missing more and more gaming experiences. Please remember that before you try to say you're a Hardcore gamer.
